5 Travel Accessories for Men - Travel Lovers

How's it going, everyone? My name is Arun and I’ve spent the last 10 years being a full-time traveler. Now, I've lived out of small drawers. I’ve lived out of hotels. I’ve lived out of a tiny home. I’ve lived out of suitcases. So, I know how to travel light. But I also know the most important things I need to bring. I thought I would make a blog on travel accessories for men that every guy who's a traveler should bring on their trip.

Now, these items don’t include basics like deodorant or a toothbrush or toothpaste or a passport or money or debit card. Those things you just, have to bring when you travel. But these are travel accessories for men that I don't travel without. No one is paying me to say any of this. This is just coming from my own experience and things that I enjoy.

1. WH-1000XM2 Headphone

They fold up really small so that they fit in this little travel case. They’re incredible noise-canceling headphones. When I put them on, on a flight and I activate the noise-canceling realize just how noisy a plane is. Oh my god, the engine sounds and people snoring. And people coughing and so much going on. Like, you just hit a button and zone completely out. I love these because they can be plugged into the entertainment unit of the airplane. They actually come with a little adapter so that you can plug it into the double prong, you know, adapter of the airplane. But they are Bluetooth. So, these are amazing. I never travel without these men travel accessories.

2. A Daypack

Daypacks are very important especially if you're a guy and you wanna carry your headphones, you wanna carry your water bottle. This is a guy's purse. This is the male equivalent to a purse. This bag is from Gundy’s. And I really like it because it’s super durable. Like, I try and break stuff when I get it. So, this has passed many tests. It’s made of really thick material. And it's not gonna get wrecked which is great because guys, you aren’t very careful with your stuff. You have to make sure that you have durable things so they don't get wrecked. Also, I really like the look of this backpack. It just looks rugged. It just looks like a guy's backpack. It’s got two water bottle holders on both sides. It’s got a little pouch here if you need quick access and you're on the flight. It’s got space for your laptop on the inside. Which is great. More pockets on the inside so you can stuff some cash or your passport.

3. Water Bottle

So, this keeps cool drinks cold. It keeps hot drinks really hot. And it also has two sides to the lid. So, the lid can open. So, you can put ice in here if you want. Or you can just undo the top and just drink out of it like a regular water bottle. Also, which I really like about this one is it has an attachment to put, like, berries in here. Or you can put, like, lemon or lime in here if you wanna flavour your water. It’s nice that this has a loop so if I have a carabineer’s usually done have a carabineer and I can just attach it to my belt. I can attach it to my bag if I want. If I, like, rent a bike and I wanna ride around. This, it's really handy to have some sort of a handle on your water bottle.

4. Black Shoes

And, you know, they’re not gonna get scuffed up. You wear white shoes for traveling. But what are you doing with white shoes traveling? I really like these because they’re super light. And, you know, you can mash up and, like, look, that takes up, like, next to no room in your suitcase. Unless I'm going to a super cold destination this is what I'm gonna bring, therefore I include this in my travel accessories for men category. I’ve worn these with suits. You know you can really dress them up. You can dress them down. They’re very versatile. And I highly recommend it.

5. A Travel Journal

Travel journals are a great Men travel accessory when you're traveling to write down ideas. You can play games here. You can write down your thoughts. You can draw pictures. Actually, I took this with me on my six-month trip around the world backpacking. 

And because I took the time to absorb scenes and to draw images, I have a more vivid memory of it. That's, like, a cool carpet that I saw. This is a seashell that I found and I did like a, I don't know what that's called. Like a, not a stencil where, like, you know, I wiped the pen over it or the pencil over it. Honestly, I don't always write in it. But I don't know when I'm going to feel inspired to write in it. I just make sure that it's in my suitcase or in my backpack so when I do want it, it's there.

Chennai Travel | Complete Chennai tour Guide – Travel Lovers

Chennai being the capital city of Tamilnadu is the biggest cultural economic and educational centre of South India. It is among the most visit endian cities by foreign tourists. Chennai is nicknamed The Detroit of India with more than one-third of India's automobile industry being based in the city. Chennai has a tropical wet and dry climate as it lies on the thermal equator and also on the coast.

How I started my journey towards Chennai

I stayed over this beautiful place which was in my budget, I chose this place because it was nearer to Kovalam Beach so I expected some good views from my room's window. Though the views were super from the room’s balcony this place is a bit deserted and away from the city. It is difficult to find local autos here, the room cost was rupees thousand per day and it was worth it.

After getting freshen up at the hotel I went for an evening tour of the Kovalam Beach, which was just ten minutes away from my hotel luckily I got a share auto and had to pay rupees 10 for the ride. Kovalam is a curved beach with rocky shore situated at outskirts of Chennai, it is one of the few places in the East Coast where wind surfing takes place. The Dutch built a fort here which has been transformed into a private luxury beach resort that is also an NC and Catholic Church or dargah and a temple nearby. Though I could not take really good pictures I definitely enjoyed the crispy cheap seafood in a warm summer evening.

Destinations list to explore Chennai:

1. Snake Park

The first destination for today's plan in Chennai Travel is snake Park which is 29 kilometres away from my hotel, it took us around 50minutes to reach there. Chennai Snake Park is a non-profit NGO and is India's first reptile park.

• This park is home to a wide range of snakes such as a dele's pythons, Vipers, cobras. This park exhibits a total of 39 species including 23 species of Indian snakes. All three Indian species and four exotic species of crocodile, three species of Indian tortoises and turtles and six pieces of the larger Indian lizards.

• The entry fee to this amazing park is rupees 60 and it took me around one and a half hour to comfortably roam around the park. The most interesting part of this park was this one hundred and fifty two-years-old Chan tortoise and this weighs over two hundred and twenty-five kilograms.

• There are some really cool selfies Jones around the park where you can take horrifying selfies with these amazing creators. Also, that is a shop inside the path when you can really go for shopping of small stuff related to the animal kingdoms.

2. Tiger Cave

After spending enough time with the creepy-crawlies we headed for tiger cave which was next in our list. It took us around one hour to reach the place, the tiger cave is a rocket Hindu temple complex located near Mahabalipuram. It gets its name from the carving of Tiger heads on the mouth of a cave which forms the part of the complex.

It is situated on xi shore and is a decent place for taking pictures with rocks which are beautifully capped. There is no entry fee to the place and you can have a 15 to 20 minute of a photoshoot over here. Honestly, I didn't find any cave here is just a vast land decorated with carved rocks. There even some locals who have put up shops here and you can have a little snack if you want to.

3. Monuments at Mahabalipuram 

It took us around ten minutes to reach the place, there is a beautiful market attached to this place where you can find beautiful artefacts and the local artistic stuff. With a ticket of rupees 40, I entered to this place which is a collection of 7th and 8th-century religious monuments. This site has four hundred and St. Monuments and thermal religious temples including one of the largest open-air rock reliefs in the world.

The monuments over here are categorized into five groups

• The ruckus in a chariot
• The mandibles or cave temples
• Rock reliefs
• Structural temples
• Excavations

It's a nice place to stop by but nothing else to do except taking pictures of the monument and scenery, if you are here please do carry umbrellas water since it gets really hot inside it. You can spend 50 minutes to one hour here and can have a great photoshoot with this awestruck monuments. Parking fee is however 75 rupees for the place.

4.  Sri Sthala Sayana Perumal Temple 

Sri Sthala Sayana Perumal temple constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified with Tamil, Canon of the abjad sense. It is one of the 108 D Buddhism dedicated to Vishnu who is worshipped as Tolle son pyramid and his concert Lakshmi as nil among high tire. The temple is open from 6 a.m. to 12p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. six of daily rituals and a dozen yearly festivals are held at the temple. The Buddha that’s worth over the festival which is celebrated during October/November is the most prominent festival celebrated at this place, at a workable distance from the temple is a circular masonry tower made up of natural stone.

The tower height is around 85 feet and you can climb up with narrow steep stairs. There is an entry fee octopus 10 to the lighthouse once climbed you can experience the breathtaking view of the sea and the surrounding nature. To reach here you can take the road around the place but I climb climbed up the path through the rocks to reach there so that I can experience nature to yet another level. In the premises, there is a temple named Oerlikon Eswaran temple this temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are plenty of stairs that you need to climb up to reach the place but your efforts will pay off once you are on the top. honestly, this place was really tiring as you have to climb up and down a lot do carry energy drinks and water along with you.

5. Marina beach 

Marina Beach it took us around one and a half hour to reach the place. Marina Beach is the longest natural urban beach in the country the beach is primarily sandy and berthing and swimming here are prohibited legally due to turbulent undercurrent. The memorials and statues joggers track lovers spot aquarium and like make it a hangout for people of all ages.

You can experience the amazing sunset at this beach there are a lot of fun activities like horse ride in getting cetera available at this Beach, though it's a nice place to sit and enjoy it's quite dirty and full of garbage. There are plenty of stalls at this place offering delicious mouth-watering Diesel's.

We’ve been travelling full time since 2017. Over the last few years, we've been to so many amazing places creating content and sharing the experience across this channel. 

This article about sharing some epic destinations with you, travel is so much more than being a sheep and going to the same places that everyone visits. From our perspective, some of the most memorable moments and the most authentic experiences we've had have been from places completely off the beaten path.

So today we want to share with you our top 5 underrated places to travel

1. Krakow, Poland

Of all the places we've visited pol and is definitely near the top when it comes to underrated travel spots and Krakow, in particular, was one of our favourite cities. Like a lot of places in this article though Krakow isn't exactly a common European getaway, we think that it totally should be. The city has areas that cater to tourism which is a positive because that means there's still lots of things to do, but it never really feels overly commercial or crazy busy outside of those areas. 

Poland's had a pretty turbulent history and Krakow seems to have made the most of the chance to rebuild. It’s like a mashup of historic buildings meeting modern culture, there are loads of cold spaces around the town that have been set up in old buildings or abandoned blocks. so there's craft beer and coffee everywhere you go the day-to-day costs are a lot cheaper than other European cities and we ended up spending a month there sharing all of our living costs in a video. Like the city through the people can sometimes seem just a little bit harsh at first glance but they are crazy friendly and welcoming once you engage with them.

2. Albanian Riviera Albania

If you've never heard of the Albanian Riviera we wouldn’t even be surprised. Sadly Albania doesn't get anywhere near the love it deserves, not just because of past politics but also because of the bad rep that they get across media, TV shows and movies are often portrayed in a bad light. But the reality of being there is so different it's actually insane. Albanians were some of the nicest people we've ever met and would stop at absolutely nothing to make sure that we were having a good time we were well fed and we knew exactly where we were going. 

One of the biggest drawcards is the coastline of the Riviera, this area shares the same sea as Greece and photos from there could easily be tagged as Greece and no one would even know the difference yet few people want to visit. It’s a country and area that feels sound discovered and untapped which is surprising given how cost-effective and beautiful it can be. It definitely can be difficult with the language barrier hiring a car is almost a necessity and the roads can be crazy and the driver's even crazier. But it's100 worth the adventure to get in now before it gains popularity.

3. Asturias Spain

Might not sound like it fits this list and that's because most people think of the islands or heading south to Barcelona Valencia or the party getaway resorts. But we spent 48 hours in a really cool area in the north known as Asturias and easily could have spent 48 days. there if they let us the north is different unlike some of those other spots Asturias still actually feels like Spain, tradition is alive and well it's full of local people and local life co-exists with tourism.

One of the things that made it memorable is how varied it is there are stunning beaches, a world-class national park, city life, mountains surrounding you at all times an old town and still greenery in parks and central areas as well. The food in Spain is some of the best in the world and that's no different up north, but one thing they do better is definitely the cider. They absolutely love it and so did we this is the real cider though not the sweetened crap that you get from a bottle we're talking about real apples with some real zing. 

4. Nusa Penida Indonesia

Not many people talk about going to Indonesia because pretty much everyone goes to Bali and hits up the stock standard places chengu, Seminyak, kuda and Ubud. The truth is we love all those spots but the best adventure we've had in Indonesia didn't come from there and it wasn't the Gili islands. Nusa Penida is a seriously underrated place to travel if you're game to get behind some handlebars and cruise the island. Nusa Penida actually is a really busy place but most people go over on a hosted day trip and get driven to the same old touristy spots that everyone goes to, an area known as killing king beach or the t-rex. 

Dozen is wrong the views are amazing but you're sharing it with 2000 of your closest friends as people line up to take a selfie at the top of the stairs. Meanwhile, the rest of the island is still developing and is raw. The landscapes are like something out of Jurassic Park, driving around on scooters, getting lost, stuck in thunderstorms, meeting local people and exploring small villages with smiling people is what it's all about. Even better these beaches everywhere and on the opposite end of the island was a super chill spot with barely any people. It’s the kind of place you're rewarded for taking on the challenge and doing some exploring by yourself.

5. Mexico City

Mexico, when you think of Mexico, bears on the beach cocktails in the sun and all-inclusive resorts jump to mind pretty quickly, but there's so much more to be gained by visiting Mexico city the perception is anything outside of are sort of a tourist hub is dangerous; like anywhere there are definitely risks but if you're smart about where to go it can be rewarding. We were in Mexico City for the formula one so took on the challenge and found two awesome neighbourhoods known as La Condesa and rom a Norte. They both felt safe there's the huge grouping of cafes, co-working spaces, retail shops, vintage stores, local food and greenery and there are parks literally everywhere. 

The food in Mexico City is definitely better than the coast and the prices are a lot more affordable as well. We ended up taking a free walking tour to get the lowdown on the history check out some of the best architecture, learn more about the culture eat loads of food and find some of the coolest areas to go back to. It’s a shame Mexico City doesn't get the love that it deserves so make sure you put it on your list for your next trip and you'll see what makes it so special.

5. Mimalallapuram Dance Festival:

This unique Open Air Dance Festival is celebrated every year in December-January at Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu. Tamilnadu Tourism organizes this. This time it started on 25th December and till January 15th. Here you will find many of India's highest dance styles like Kathak, Kuchipudi, Bharat Natyam and Kathakali. 6. Pongal Festival (January 15-January 18):

7. Bikaner camel fair:

Two-day World famous Camel Festival is celebrated every year in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The festivals of this festival are shades of colorful clothes, which come to see tourists from all over the world. During this festival several events are organized which are very interesting for tourists. The festival of 12th to 13th January will be a beauty contest of the camel, Rajasthani cultural dance and singing, Rajasthani dishes, and there will be a lot to buy.

How to reach?

The nearest airport to Bikaner is located in Jodhpur where you will get bus and taxi comfortably to get to Bikaner. Apart from this, there can be many trains from many cities here. Kota, Ajmer, Agra, Delhi and many other cities can be reached directly by bus route.

8. Jaisalmer Desert Festival:

This three-day festival organized by the Rajasthan Tourism Board is a famous tourist attraction of Jaisalmer, which is held in Sam Rat dunes, located about 42 km away from the city in the month of February. In this celebration, there is still plenty of entertainment for tourists. Here tourists can enjoy interesting events like various colorful cultural events, camel races, turbans, and competition of the best mustache. This festival will be held from February 17 to February 19 this year.

The nearest airport here is located in Jodhpur. This place is connected by air, rail and road. From almost every major city to Jodhpur can be reached via train, bus or flight. You can make a cab, bus or taxi from Jodhpur till now.

Even in 2019, these festivals can be enjoyed while keeping the interest of straying.
